Meet our Team

Andrew Haas is the founder and principal mediator of Haas Mediation, established in 2021 to help individuals and families resolve differences peacefully and efficiently, without unnecessary legal costs or confusion.
He holds a master’s degree in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, where he also studied mediation and negotiation at the Morton Deutsch Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution.
Andrew serves on the Board of Directors for the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of New York and co-teaches mediation at Hofstra Law School. He also provides private conflict resolution training to organizations and professionals.
He also mediates for FamilyKind and leads the mediation efforts for Cyclical Inc., a global nonprofit supporting local leaders.

Mediator & Trainer
Hannah is an attorney turned mediator who uses her passion and experience with client-centered representation to provide individualized mediation services. After studying at Harvard Law School and working as a litigator, Hannah saw that in addition to being time-consuming and expensive, litigation rarely gave parties an opportunity to have a meaningful say in their disputes. She began practicing mediation as a way to offer people a more empowering way to address their conflicts. She has received extensive training in multiple modalities of mediation, and advanced training in family, matrimonial, custody & visitation, and elder mediation. She is also ISCT certified and Part 146 approved.
In addition to her work with Haas Mediation, she trains mediators, teaches mediation at Hofstra Law School, and mediates for the CCRB. She is also a member of multiple NY court mediation rosters.
She is a member of the NYC Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and the NY State Council on Divorce Mediation.
