  • Founder & Principal Mediator, Haas Mediation & Training

Andrew serves as the founder and principal mediator at Haas Mediation with the mission of helping people transform conflict into a profound opportunity.

His belief in the power of supported conversations began while participating in peacebuilding efforts and educational work in conflict zones. He completed a mediation apprenticeship with CMS and mediated disputes within the diverse boroughs of Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn for the Civil Courts before founding Haas Mediation.

He trains organizations and mediators in the art of conflict resolution privately. He also trains new mediators for CMS and assists in teaching mediation at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law. In addition, he serves on the mediation panel for FamilyKind, and as the mediation arm of Cyclical Inc., a global organization supporting local leaders.

He is a member of the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation, the Family and Divorce Mediation Council, and the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.

  • Mediator & Trainer

Hannah is an attorney turned mediator who uses her passion and experience with client-centered representation to provide individualized mediation services. After studying at Harvard Law School and working as a litigator, Hannah saw that in addition to being time-consuming and expensive, litigation rarely gave parties an opportunity to have a meaningful say in their disputes. She began practicing mediation as a way to offer people a more empowering way to address their conflicts. She has received extensive training in multiple modalities of mediation, and advanced training in family, matrimonial, custody & visitation, and elder mediation. She is also ISCT certified and Part 146 approved.

In addition to her work with Haas Mediation, she trains mediators, teaches mediation at Hofstra Law School, and mediates for the CCRB. She is also a member of multiple NY court mediation rosters.

She is a member of the NYC Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and the NY State Council on Divorce Mediation.
